St Paul’s College is well known for its academic rigour and is regarded as one of the top academic schools in the country – a reputation closely guarded and fiercely defended, upgraded and maintained. We follow the (Cambridge Assessment and International Examinations) CAIE Lower Secondary curriculum in the Middle School where students make subject choices to start CAIE IGCSE in Grade 9 and complete CAIE AS-level in Grade 12.
Our students have regularly topped national leagues in Namibian public examinations. Recent years have seen as much as 75% of our pupils scoring either a 1 or 2 symbol – the equivalent of an A or a B. Many of our students are accepted into top faculties in South African and other international universities. The pure Sciences (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry), the Arts (Fine Art, Languages, History), the Commerce subjects (Accounting, Economics), the Natural Sciences (Biology and Geography) and also IT are all very strong departments.

St Paul’s College teachers care for and monitor our pupils, promoting the academic achievements of our students in every way. Class teachers, Grade Heads and Heads of School further support this effort. The Middle School (Grades 7-9) recognises the development stages (and exciting changes!) that pupils generally go through in their social, cognitive, spiritual and physical lives in these grades. Pastoral care, counselling and a balanced lifestyle are integral to education at St Paul’s College. Through this phase our pupils are exposed to the subjects on offer and are encouraged to be involved in a wide range of activities. The Upper School (Grades 10-12) presumes that pupils are ready for greater responsibility and challenges, and there is a more focussed approach on preparing for the external examinations.
